The Cumberlands Workforce Development Board is working to provide tools that will help connect our communities to local, state, national and international resources. The goal is to promote workforce development, education, and economic development through this investment in technology.
Civic groups, educators, businesses and organizations in the Kentucky Career Center – Cumberlands 13 county service area can now visit our Tech Connect Lending Library to check-out pieces of equipment that can be used for such activities as: computer training, video conferencing, virtual interviews, presentations, hiring events, plant tours and much more. Inventory and lending information can be found on our website.
In addition, the CWDB has plans to locate 25 video conferencing systems throughout the Kentucky Career Center – Cumberlands service area. The systems include a 55” screen, camera, speakers and mobile stand as well as access to the Zoom video conferencing platform. The board is seeking applications for site hosts and will be accepting applications through October 12, 2018. Any group or organization within the service area is eligible to apply.
