Apprenticeship offers on the job training supplemented with technical classroom instruction. Apprentices work under the supervision of qualified journeyworkers to develop their chosen trade or skill and learn the techniques, materials, and equipment associated with that trade.
The Kentucky Registered Apprenticeship Summit will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville September 10 – 12. School leaders and career counselors, business owners and their HR representatives, government officials, parents and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the entire Summit. Students and adults interested in becoming a Registered Apprentice should attend the Career Fair Portion of the event on days two and three.
