Mike Yoder, Interim Commissioner – Department of Workforce Development in the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet addressed the February meeting of the Cumberland Workforce Development Board. Yoder brings to his new position 16+ years of experience and education in learning systems, coaching, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement across a variety of organizations and industries.
Speaking via Zoom teleconference, Yoder talked about the future of workforce development in Kentucky. A number of county officials from the Cumberland region were in attendance or joined via Zoom.
Cumberland County Judge-Executive Luke King also addressed the meeting with an update and overview of the county’s pioneering Civics Club with an invitation to other Judge-Executive to adopt similar programs.
