Officials Meet to Discuss Statewide Workforce and Talent Team Initiative

On Monday, October 27, Secretary Jeff Noel, Commissioner Michael Yoder, and Alisher Burikhanov from the Education & Labor Cabinet, along with State Representative Josh Branscum, met with members of the Cumberlands Workforce Development Board, employers, and workforce partners from across the region to discuss the SWATT initiative.

The SWATT Roadshow in the Cumberlands region is the first of many planned across the state, with the primary goal of building shared understanding and alignment around the Statewide Workforce and Talent Team (SWATT) mission: to make Kentucky’s workforce system easier for businesses to navigate by aligning state, education, workforce, and economic development partners around employer-driven solutions.

In support of this mission, these roadshows aim to capture local input, highlight regional best practices, and identify common standards to build a more cohesive and effective statewide workforce system.
